HYPOCRISYUSA

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 13, 2026

This page describes what HypocrisyUSA collects and why. It describes the site as it works today.

Email lists

The site stores subscriptions to two separate email lists: a weekly brief and a book-alert list. If you sign up, we collect the email address you enter for the updates you requested. Signing up to one does not sign you up to the other.

To unsubscribe, use the unsubscribe option provided in a list email or write to thesamkarski@gmail.com to be removed. Signing up records your request for updates; it does not trigger an immediate email.

Signup protection

To limit abuse, signup forms use short-lived form tokens, shared rate-limit budgets and an invisible bot trap (a hidden field that real readers do not fill in). Aggregate signup-abuse counts are reported for a seven-day window and do not include email addresses or IP addresses. Hosting and infrastructure security data are described separately below.

Analytics

The site uses custom, aggregate analytics to measure page visits, referrers, device type, region and engagement such as link clicks. Email addresses are not included in analytics event properties.

Hosting and security data

Our hosting and security infrastructure may process IP addresses and browser data in the course of serving pages, protecting the site and diagnosing problems.

Cookies and browser storage

The site does not promise to be free of cookies or browser storage. Technical cookies and session storage are used for private administrative functions. Reader-facing pages may also store technical data in your browser as needed to work.

Headlines, book and podcast links lead to other websites. Those sites and our service providers, such as hosting and email delivery, have their own privacy policies and practices, which we do not control.

Advertising (not currently enabled)

Google ads are not currently enabled on this site. If the site later shows Google advertising, this policy will be updated first, and the following would apply.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies in your browser and use web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to serve and measure ads. Advertising cookies may enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on earlier visits to this and other websites, and information may be shared with them.
  • Google's use of data is described in the Google privacy policy; you could manage ads personalization through Google's ad settings.
  • Before serving Google ads to readers in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we would configure a Google-certified consent management platform and the required privacy choices. Other regional privacy requirements would also be reviewed.

Retention

We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, such as keeping a subscriber on a list, preventing abuse, security, and meeting legal needs. We do not promise a fixed deletion timeline.

Your requests

To ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, or to unsubscribe, email thesamkarski@gmail.com. We will consider requests in line with applicable law and cannot guarantee a particular turnaround.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date above shows the latest update.
